Worming Through the Stacks at Kids' Book Bank
Volunteers will sort and box children's books by age and reading material. Books sorted at the Cleveland Kids' Book Bank will then be distributed throughout the Cleveland area through schools, non-profit organizations and Little Free Libraries.
The mission of the Kids' Book Bank is to foster literacy and a love of reading by providing free books to children in need. Since 2013 the Kids' Book Bank has placed thousands of books in the hands of children in need through 60 Little Free Libraries in Cleveland neighborhoods. In November 2015 the Kids' Book Bank developed a unique partnership with online bookseller Discover Books that enables them to bring hundreds of thousands of free children's books to Cleveland - books that would have been otherwise recycled.
Things to remember: Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes and if possible leave valuables in your vehicle.
