Receptionist at Hospice Headquarters, Cleveland
The Hospice of the Western Reserve provides palliative end-of-life care, caregiver support and bereavement services throughout Northern Ohio. In celebration of the individual worth of each life, we strive to relieve suffering, enhance comfort, promote quality of life, foster choice in end-of-life care and support effective grieving.
Duties/Responsibilities: Greet and direct visitors and conduct health screening all non-staff visitors entering the facility. Reception desk is staffed by volunteers from 8-12 and 12:30- 4:30 pm M-F. Back up receptionists are also needed.
Qualifications (special skills needed/physical requirements of the job): Friendly, professional, and reliable. Good phone skills as all visitors buzz in to phone to be let in.
Volunteer Education and other requirements: Complete an application form, interview, attend one 3 hour virtual volunteer orientation session. Receive a criminal background check at agency expense. Flu shot or medical/religious exemption needed for volunteering Dec. 1, -Mar. 31, each y ear (peak flu season).
Additional Training: On the job training for this role and phone support backup provided by Volunteer Service Manager.
