Adult Mentors for the Compeer Program
The Compeer Program at Far West Center needs adult mentors for adults who manage mental illness. Compeer Mentors provide friendship, compassionate listening, and encouragement to engage socially and reconnect with their communities. Compeer Volunteers are screened, trained, and receive ongoing support and guidance in their Mentoring roles. We ask that Volunteers try to maintain 4 hours of volunteering every month which can include phone calling, emailing, video chat visits, and scheduled Compeer Events. Compeer Mentors create their own unique volunteering schedules that can easily fit well around monthly commitments.
Our Compeer Programs for adults and is an affiliate program of the nonprofit Compeer International.
