Support older adults in maintaining independence by completing minor home maintenance projects such as changing lightbulbs, fixing jammed locks, repairing loose cabinet doors, painting trim, etc.  Excluded services include plumbing and electrical as well as projects that would require use of anything other than a step ladder.

Key Duties

 

  • Evaluate feasibility of home maintenance request inside or outside of client’s home
  • Advise homeowner and/or CPA staff of supplies that would need to be purchased
  • Safely complete appropriate home maintenance projects

Qualifications

 

  • True comfort with and sincere desire to assist seniors
  • Skilled in basic home maintenance; plumbing and electric work are prohibited
  • Ability to determine best method to safely complete repair/upkeep project
  • Must provide own basic tools; client or agency will provide needed supplies
  • Comfortable engaging wit those with differing opinions and/or lifestyles
