Photographer-GED Graduation

Seeds of Literacy is an award-winning nonprofit organization that provides free basic education and GED™ prep to adults in the Cleveland area. The shocking truth is that an estimated 66% of adults in Cleveland are functionally illiterate, and may struggle with everyday necessities like reading a bus schedule and understanding medication labels.

Each year over 1,000 adult learners come to our program to make advancements in the education. Many of those complete the program by successfully passing one of the high school equivalency tests (GED™ or HiSET). To celebrate their hard work and accomplishment, we hold a graduation ceremony and provide each graduate with a picture of themselves in their cap and gown.

If you are a photogragher who can be available for two photo shoots with our west side and east side students and can provide high-quality photos for them as a keepsake of their educational journey with Seeds of Literacy, we would love to have your expertise and assistance.

If interested, please contact Christine Lee, Volunteer Coordinator at christinelee@seedsofliteracy.org or 216-661-7950, x115. To learn more about Seeds of Literacy, visit https://www.seedsofliteracy.org/
